Complex Example of the Alternative Way to determine the CP and calculate the Slack: Complex Example
Remark: There is an error when calculating the slack of one of the activities. Can you find it? I detected the error later and corrected it!

09:10 – Conclusion

In the previous example of this alternative method to identify the CP and calculate the slack, the nob-CP activities were only on one path.

Now, we will look at the case where some activities are on more than one path and that will complicate the identification of the slack because what path do we have to select to identify the slack of that activity.

The calculations are basically the same as before but with a small difference:

1. We identify the paths on which the activity is
2. We select the longest path
3. We subtract the duration of the longest of the non-CP paths from the CP
